My Best Restaurants For Lunch In Montreal (so far)

Tuesday, February 9, 2016

It has already been 1 year I started to live in Montreal. Since I do not cook that much, I normally eat out or buy some pre-made foods. I know eating out everyday is not a good way to save my money. So, here are some casual restaurants having lots of nom and reasonable price.

Before I start to list, this is me;

1. I do not eat any kind of wraps or similar things of them.
Such as taco, burrito, quesadilla (anything made with tortilla), even crapes and pancakes.
Because I have a trauma and always feel disgusting when they get into my mouth.

2. I do not like greasy and too oily foods.

3. Health always matters to me.

1. Ganadara

1862 Boulevard de Maisonneuve W Montréal H3H Canada
Metro : Guy-Concordia
Price : 3.5/5
Taste : 4/5

Okay I am Korean. So it`s not surprising to mention a Korean restaurant first. Honestly, there is no 100% authentic Korean restaurant in Montreal. But Ganadara is pretty much close to be authentic (probably only to non-Korean people?) in my opinion. You would be disappointed if you are from South Korea and expecting real Korean food here. I actually did. But you will know Ganadara is way better than other Korean restaurants. (* oh! I heard that Opiano( is also really good too. I haven`t been there yet but I will definitely be.

2. Picks
' way better than McDonal`s'

1407 Rue Saint Marc, Montréal, QC H3H 2G4
Metro : Guy-Concordia
 Price : 5/5
Taste : 4.5/5

Picks is a very small burger restaurant. There are only a few tables and chairs. But my friend and I always sit and eat there. I usually order for a veggie burger with wasabi mayo. I surely can tell you, Picks is way better than McDonal`s. Cheaper than McDonal`s and more tasty than McDonal`s. Trust me. Ah, they also have some wraps! But you know I don`t eat any wraps. Umm... btw.. Also Korean old couple runs this restaurant.

3. Sushi 7

2121 Rue Saint Mathieu, Montréal, QC H3H 2J4
Metro : Guy-Concordia
Price : 3.5/5
Taste : 4/5

Don`t be mad at me.. this is also Korean. I mean they sell Sushi but they sell some Korean foods as well. I have never eaten Sushi here but I really recommend to eat Kimchi jjigae here! or Bulgogi. Sushi 7 is also very small and cozy restaurant and it`s very clean too.

4. l`Entepôt Mont-Royal

1019 Avenue du Mont-Royal E, Montreal, QC, H2J 1X7
Metro : Mont-Royal
Price : 4.5/5 (food)
Taste : 3.5/5

All foods are 5$? Can you believe it? But wait wait.. they charge everything you ask for such as homemade mayo. Any ways it is cheap. They open at 11am to 3am everyday. You can be lunching or having a dinner with some alcohol. Shh.. I think shots are a bit expensive here.

5. Mandy`s

Downtown ( on Crescent street)/West Mount/Mile end
Metro : Guy-Concordia or Peel
Price : 3/5
Taste : 5/5

Probably you ask 'why you buy a bowl of salad with 15$(not everything is 15$, by the way)?'. I would say, 'try mandy`s you will change your mind'. I know the price is not that reasonable. However, it is healthy and yummy!!!

That`s it. Ill update this list if I find any good.
